What is Bilvx
Bilvx is a multi-tenant SaaS for LHDN MyInvois e-Invoicing in Malaysia. If your business needs to create, validate, submit, and track e-invoices with LHDN — including self-billed documents — Bilvx does that end to end, with an optional accounting module for the businesses that need a full ledger behind their invoices. It's built for Malaysian sellers of any size, from a single company issuing a handful of invoices to firms running many companies from one account.
What it does
- Manage companies, customers, and suppliers. Each company is the seller on its invoices; customers are your buyers and suppliers are the parties that bill you (used for self-billed documents and, on accounting plans, supplier bills). Party fields mirror what LHDN asks for, and the app applies LHDN's ID-type and TIN rules for you. See Managing Companies, Customers & Suppliers.
- Create and manage e-invoices. Build invoices with line items and tax types across all eight LHDN document types (Invoice, Credit Note, Debit Note, Refund Note, and their self-billed counterparts). Invoices move through a clear DRAFT → SUBMITTED → VALID lifecycle, and validated documents print as a PDF carrying the QR code, IRBM unique ID, and validation timestamp. See Creating & Managing Invoices.
- Submit to LHDN MyInvois. A pre-submit completeness check lists every missing field with a link to fix it; once submitted, Bilvx polls LHDN asynchronously and updates the status to VALID or INVALID on its own. See Submitting to LHDN MyInvois.
- Optional accounting module. On plans that include it, Bilvx adds a double-entry ledger, receivables and payables, supplier-bill capture, period close, bank reconciliation, and financial reports. See The Accounting Module and Capturing Supplier Documents.
Technology
Bilvx is a Java 25 application built on Javalin, with PostgreSQL (via JDBC, no ORM) and Flyway migrations. The interface is server-rendered HTML with HTMX for interactivity — no single-page framework — styled with Tailwind CSS and DaisyUI. Sign-in supports both email/password (BCrypt-hashed) and Continue with Google. Operators run it as a single fat JAR. See Deploying & Operating Bilvx and the Configuration Reference.

What Bilvx doesn't do
Bilvx has no bulk import of customers or invoices, no payroll, and no tax filing. The MyInvois intermediary appointment — a precondition for submission — happens on LHDN's own portal, not inside Bilvx. Plans are assigned by the platform operator; there's no self-serve billing today.
